Hotel Umu

This is the review from my friend Maria Jose, who stayed at the hotel instead of me (I had an emergency and I was not able to come):"I stayed at Hotel Umu from 19 to 24 June in a single room. It was clean, quiet, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick. I was able to walk to nearby cafés and shops. Breakfast was simple but fresh, with enough variety to start the day. While the hotel is older in style, it’s well maintained and offers great value for money. The desk in the room was a bit small. I managed to get work done however, it was a bit tight trying to fit both a laptop and a notepad. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel."

Good location. Hotel was clean. Lovely, super friendly receptionist who gave us advice on places to take our 4 year old son (sorry I didn’t catch your name! She had dark hair and spoke English extremely well!) Air con in room was great during the heat wave!

The room was big enought for 1 night, and the design is really nice

This was a modern contemporary hotel at a reasonable price. The room I had was simple and clean. There was no restaurant facility, and the restaurant that they recommend an offer transport  to was close because it was a Sunday. However, there was a very good sushi and Japanese restaurant and takeaway just two minutes up the road where I was able to eat and it was excellent. They provided safe storage on my bicycle, always a plus went on a cycling tour all in all a decent hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.

I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend for one night and the first thing we witnessed were the kindness and professionalism of the staff, breakfast was also really appreciated (the pancake machine was top!). Price was competitive.
